Versatile Blogger Award

My friend (and fellow blogger) DM bestowed upon me the Versatile Blogger Award. This is the first blogger award I have received. **Thank you very much, DM!**

How it works is this: If chosen, you have to state seven things about yourself and then pass the awards on to the blogs you admire. I am not doing a specific number of bloggers but some do.

Seven things about me:

1. I love cottage cheese with nothing else in it.
2. I used to watch soap operas in my early teenage years but hate them now.
3. My favorite animal is a turtle.
4. I met my husband online.
5. Kirsten Dunst's song "Dream of Me" makes me cry.
6. I love all things paranormal/mystical (though not aliens so much).
7. I have been biting my nails since I was in diapers.

The Award Goes To:

(In no particular order)

1. http://saumyadave.blogspot.com
Saumya has a wonderful blog full of kind inspiration. You feel like you're among friends when you're there.
2. http://bloodrootink.blogspot.com
Jonnia still has some of the best poetry around and, if you haven't read it, you really should.
3. http://stiryourtea.blogspot.com
If you want absolute hilarity when talking about the writing life, search no more. Tahereh shines when talking about even the most mundane aspects of life.
4. http://nathalie-schiltz.blogspot.com
Nathalie is a very warm, honest person and you can tell that each time she blogs. One of the more approachable writers I know and one of the most talented.

***********I love all of the blogs I follow and it was very hard to choose just these but these are the ones I aspire to be more like in my own career.*********

  1. Jennifer, you have no idea how much you made my day with your sweet words. I was sitting here all down in the dumps with my textbooks and this zapped some energy back into me. Thanks so much for the award :)

And you met your husband online?? That sounds like it could be an inspiring book! My cousins have been looking for people online and keep getting discouraged.

I also used to watch soaps and abhor them now. Which ones did you watch? I was a Bold and the Beautiful/Young and the Restless gal.

Have a great day, Jennifer :) Thanks so much again!

  2. Oh goodness, Young and the Restless was my absolute must-watch of the day! I used to find it somewhat intriguing but now... yeah. At least there's a lesson there about how to keep the plot twisting when you've had the same characters ALL book long. lol

It seems like my husband and I are the exception of the rule when it comes to online but it does happen. Unfortunately, there were more than a couple of relationships between the two of us before we found one another but I guess that is said with most people. He gave me an instant message because he thought I was cute and I play video games. (Video games are a geeky thing to admit but hey, it's honest. LOL)

And, you're welcome. I wouldn't say it if it weren't true.
