I'm Not Back Yet, But...

For those of you looking to submit poetry, short fiction, etc. to literary magazines or contests, here are three tremendous lists for this month:

Cathy's Competitions and Calls for Submissions

The Practicing Writer

Entropy Magazine List even lists presses!

So, as for me, I'm doing okay.
The hospital staff injured my infected leg while getting me prepared to go home on release day (I forgot to mention) so I'm housebound until it heals (probably another month).  It had a huge bruise, blisters... you don't even want to know.

I'm starting the blog for disabled writers I've mentioned before.  It's under construction until the end of the month.  I'm trying to find a couple disabled writers to join me but, for now, it's a solo effort.  There are few resources talking about disability and the literary community.  It's called The Handy, Uncapped Pen.

I'm currently scheduling blog posts for this blog to go live by month's end.  I'm not certain when I'll be back "fully" as summer is very busy for me and I'm not even positive I'll be tip-top by then.  I'm sorry I've been gone.  I've been trying to cut stress.
I did submit poetry to three contests last month, though.  And continued seeking out chapbook publishers.  That's the extent, though.

I hope the A-Z Challenge went well for those who participated!

  1. I'm so glad to see you pop you head up even for a moment and your new endeavor sounds like a great one! I'll be watching for news as you get started. As you look for partners, you might want to check out dSavannah. She was one of my April AtoZ blogging partners and also works through her disabilities. Her AtoZ posts were about that. http://dsavannah.com/blog/

    1. Thanks!
I'm starting the new blog on May 25th and I'm already nervous. I never seem to draw people here, even when I post regularly and all the other stuff people tell you makes a successful blog. But I'm still going to try.
